Ireland’s Call

Ireland’s Call è l’inno ufficiale della squadra di rugby irlandese e unisce ogni angolo d’Irlanda, dal nord al sud. Durante le partite giocate nella Repubblica d’Irlanda vengono cantati sia “Amhrán na bhFiann” (come inno della nazione di casa) e Ireland’s Call (come inno della squadra); altrove si usa solo Ireland’s Call.

Nella maggior parte delle partite di rugby oggi viene cantato solo il primo verso, seguito dal ritornello nello stesso tono. Poi il ritornello si ripete in tono più alto e alla fine si ripete l’ultimo verso.
La canzone è stata scritta nel 1995 da Phil Coulter su richiesta dell’Irish Rugby Football Union.
